Privacy Policy for SowGood

ITHINKSOW LLC ("SowGood," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the SowGood mobile application, website (sowgood.app), web dashboard (my.sowgood.app), and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

• Name, email address, username, password
• Profile details (such as a profile photo or preferences)
• Communications with customer support

b) AI Assistant Data

Your conversations with the AI Assistants happen inside the ChatGPT app, under your own OpenAI account. They are not sent to SowGood. We do not collect them, store them, or read them, and we never use them to train AI models.

c) Automatically Collected Information

• Device and browser type
• Operating system and app version
• IP address and general location
• App usage and performance data
• Error logs and diagnostics

d) Payments & Subscriptions

We use a third-party payment processor to manage subscriptions and billing. When you subscribe, limited personal information such as your name, email address, billing status, and transaction identifiers may be shared with that provider for the sole purpose of processing payments and managing your subscription. We do not receive or store your credit card information.

e) Referrals

If you sign up with a referral code or link, we keep that code with your account. If the code belongs to one of our affiliate partners, we share your name, email address, an account identifier, and the amounts of your subscription payments with our affiliate-tracking provider. The partner who referred you can then see your name and email address and that you joined, and is credited and paid for the referral.

2. AI Data Processing

a) How AI Assistants Work

Each AI Assistant is a custom assistant built on published Christian works and hosted by OpenAI. When you choose an assistant in SowGood, it opens in the ChatGPT app, which you will need installed and signed in to your own OpenAI account. A free ChatGPT account is enough.

Because the conversation takes place in your own OpenAI account, it is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy and by your own ChatGPT settings. We do not control those and cannot change them. If this matters to you, and it reasonably might, please review OpenAI’s privacy policy and your ChatGPT data controls.

b) Your AI Conversations

• We do not receive, store, or read your conversations with the AI Assistants. They stay in your own OpenAI account.
• We never use them to train AI models, and we never sell them.
• No one at SowGood can see what you bring to an assistant.
• Where we do share data with providers in order to run the Services, those providers are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.

c) Purpose and Limitations

The AI Assistants are designed to direct you toward counsel with God through His Holy Spirit, and to offer additional ideas for you to consider and ponder together with God. They provide general guidance for personal and spiritual growth grounded in biblical wisdom and published Christian works. Although the suggestions and ideas generated by the AI Assistants are designed to be grounded in true Christian principles, it is absolutely essential that you test, prove, and confirm all things with God. They are not a substitute for professional counseling, medical advice, or legal counsel. You should not submit highly sensitive personal data such as medical records, legal matters, financial information, or government identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• Give you access to the AI Assistants, live events, and the rest of the app
• Manage user accounts and subscriptions
• Communicate updates and service notices
• Provide customer support
• Ensure safety, security, and legal compliance

We collect only the data necessary to perform these functions.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

We may share data with:

• Hosting, analytics, and infrastructure providers
• AI processing providers
• Payment and subscription processors
• Our affiliate-tracking provider, and the affiliate partner who referred you (only if you signed up with an affiliate partner's code)
• Legal authorities when required by law

Our service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for authorized purposes.

5. Data Retention

• Account information is retained while your account is active
• We do not store your AI Assistant conversations; they remain in your own OpenAI account
• Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed
• Certain records may be retained for legal, tax, or security obligations

6. Your Rights

You may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion
• Request a portable copy
• Withdraw consent

We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. California Privacy Rights

California residents may request:

• What personal data we collect
• That their data be deleted
• Confirmation that we do not sell personal data

8. Children's Privacy

SowGood is designed for adults. The AI Assistants run inside ChatGPT, so everyone who uses them must also meet OpenAI’s minimum age of 13. Anyone under the legal age of digital consent in their country may use the Services only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and on a Family Membership the member who pays is responsible for confirming that. Parents may contact us to access or delete a child’s personal information.

9. Data Security

We use encryption, access controls, and industry best practices to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App or on our website.
